Boulouki was recently hosted by the Hellenic Broadcasting Station (ERT3) on the cultural programme Perimetros, where we had the opportunity to speak in depth about the exhibition “Burning the Bones of the Earth – Stories of Lime Kilns on Both Sides of the Greece–Albania Border.”
The discussion focused on the history and craft of lime-burning, its significance for local economies and landscapes, and the ways in which this shared cross-border heritage continues to shape communities today. The feature also highlighted the research process behind the exhibition and the importance of preserving traditional building knowledge as a living practice rather than a static relic of the past.
Many thanks to the journalist Dimitris Kosinas and cameraman Giorgos Papaioannou for their visit, their thoughtful questions, and the genuine interest they showed in the project.
