Boulouki in the third phase of the “Cycladic Identity”

We are delighted to announce our participation in the third phase of the funding cycle of the Museum of Cycladic Art Initiative “Cycladic Identity”, which aims to highlight and strengthen the cultural heritage of the Cyclades through innovative projects and actions. Among the selected projects, we are contributing with the program “Adelos: Ethnographic Research and Experiential Activity in Delos.” Within this program, Boulouki, in collaboration with social anthropologist Despina Nazou, conducts ethnographic research aiming to deeply understand the rural folk heritage of the Mykonos–Delos–Rineia island complex, and highlighting the often overlooked or underappreciated connections between ancient and traditional forms of material knowledge and sustainable landscape management practices.

The “Adelos” project is organized by Boulouki in collaboration with the Cyclades Ephorate of Antiquities and the French School of Athens. The project is primarily funded by The J.M. Kaplan Fund. The project aims to restore the traditional “Farmhouse of Markos” in Delos and study the rural heritage of the Delos, Mykonos, and Rineia island complex. Ethnographic research activities are carried out in collaboration with the anthropologist Despina Nazou and are funded by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation and the Museum of Cycladic Art Initiative “Cycladic Identity”.
