A wonderful day at the #CycladicKidsFestival<\/a><\/span> of the Museum of Cycladic Art, with a special children\u2019s workshop dedicated to the architecture and building traditions of the Cyclades using traditional materials! The little masons discovered, up close, the techniques and materials that have shaped the Cycladic landscape. They explored architectural tools, learned about scale through model-making, mixed and pressed clay mortar, carved stone, built structures, and recreated Cycladic rooftops using natural materials such as reeds and seaweed. And, as tradition goes, we whitewashed our Cycladic houses!<\/div>\n
