We are delighted to announce that the project “KERETSI | Apprenticeship and Workshop on Mortars in Traditional and Sustainable Building” has been awarded by the European Heritage Days 2025, an initiative of the Council of Europe and the European Union. The 2025 theme, “Architectural Heritage – Bridging the Past with the Future,” highlights projects that connect cultural continuity with innovation and sustainability.
Keretsi is among the eight initiatives selected across Europe, recognizing its contribution to education, the preservation of traditional know-how, and the promotion of sustainable building practices. The program will take place in Frasta, Tzoumerka, in October 2025, featuring apprenticeships, workshops, lectures, and public events that will showcase the importance of mortars and natural materials in preserving architectural and cultural heritage. This distinction marks a significant acknowledgment of our team’s ongoing effort to bridge traditional craftsmanship with contemporary architectural practice, actively contributing to the resilience of local communities and the preservation of cultural identity through hands-on work.
