Project ECHOES is a Creative Europe collaboration programme dedicated to preserving, advancing, and promoting European cultural diversity by equipping heritage experts with specialized skills. The initiative unfolds through Twinning and Cultural Activities (TCAs), Co-creation Sessions (CCSs), and Capacity-Building Workshops (CBWs), each designed to strengthen heritage practices and community engagement.
Through a dynamic mix of educational and collaborative activities, Twinning and Cultural Activities include a summer school on environmental issues and traditional crafts, a workshop on documentation and community involvement, and a cultural festival showcasing heritage’s role in empowerment, culminating in a three-part exhibition on sustainability and skill-sharing. Co-creation Sessions provide a collaborative platform with nine meetings dedicated to designing Twinning and Cultural Activities, strengthening an inclusive organization, and refining skill-sharing methods. Complementing these efforts, Capacity-Building Workshops consist of six open online events that offer in-depth learning on environmental education, cultural heritage documentation, community engagement, and exhibition design.
ECHOES prioritizes sustainability, inclusivity, and gender balance, ensuring grassroots heritage organizations receive essential support. The project is strongly committed to environmental consciousness and cultural preservation and fosters long-term collaboration and innovation in European heritage practices.
The Enhancing Cultural Heritage Skills Across Europe (ECHOES) project, led by partners from Croatia (DRAGODID), Greece (Boulouki), and Ireland (Dry Stone Wall Association of Ireland – DSWAI), is dedicated to preserving, advancing, and promoting European cultural diversity and heritage. The project is co-funded by the European Union, Creative Europe Program, action “European Cooperation Projects”.
